Recipient of 2010 Kuwait Prize (known as the Middle Eastern Nobel Prize) in Applied Sciences for outstanding contributions to “Biomedical Technology” awarded by the Kuwait Foundation for the Advancement of Sciences. The prize (100’000$, gold medal, KFAS shield and certificate of recognition) was awarded by his Highness the Emir of Kuwait at a ceremony held in Kuwait City on 21st December 2011.
